Tail Feathers (make 5):

R2: 3 chains from hook will be counted as 1st dc, dc in 5th chain from hook, dc in each 20 sts, 5 dc in a corner, dc in next 21 st, 2 dc in last st, sl st in the top of chain 3.

 Finishing:
  • Sew head to the body.
  • Sew the comb on the top of head.
  • Sew part 1 of beak to the center space of eyes, then sew part 2 at the bottom.
  • Sew the wattle on head, at the bottom of beak.
  • Sew the wings on the sides of body
  • Sew the feet to the legs. Then, sew legs at bottom of body.
  • Sew 3 feathers together as 1st part. Then, sew the last 2 feathers as 2nd part. Sew the 1st part of feather tail to the back of body, and then sew 2nd part on 1st part.

My friend creations by using this pattern.
By using different color from original pattern, this rooster looks so cute.. Crocheted by sweetpea.. She used bigger size of yarn than i used.

  2. Will this stand on its own? I was wondering if i should put like a weight in the feet/toes? Maybe a garbanzo bean in each toe??

    1. I think it's depend on how you stuff the feet... as you see there are two picture of my friends creation, the brown rooster can't stand but the white rooster can be stand on its own..
